One of the processes that can serve to valorise low-quality biomass and organic waste is hydrothermal carbonization (HTC). It a thermochemical process transpires in presence water uses heat convert wet feedstocks into hydrochar (the solid product carbonization). In present experimental study, an improvement consisting increased hydrophobic character HTC-treated demonstrated through presentation enhanced mechanical dewatering at different pressures due HTC valorisation. As part this work’s scope, flashing-off steam additionally explored, allowing for recovery physical enthalpy hot slurry. The vapours, apart from steam, contain condensable hydrocarbons. Accordingly, membrane system purifies such effluent subsequent chemical energy retentate are taken account. Moreover, biomethane potential calculated condensates, presenting possibility condensates.
